Ett shows the single most important thing to do today, full screen on your iPhone or iPad.

How do I use Ett?

Write today's one thing and save it. It then fills the screen. When it's done, tap the check button or swipe up. If you complete it by mistake, tap undo in the message that appears for a few seconds.

How do I change today's task?

Tap the screen to bring up the pencil, then tap it and edit. The pencil and the settings gear fade away after a few seconds, so the task has the screen to itself.

What happens at midnight?

Ett starts a new day. A task you didn't finish doesn't carry over, so each day starts with a clean slate.

Why doesn't the screen turn off?

Ett keeps the display awake while your task is on screen, so you can leave it on your desk. It goes back to normal as soon as you leave the app.

How do I add the widget?

Touch and hold your Home Screen or Lock Screen, choose Edit or Customize, add a widget and pick Ett. The small widget also works in StandBy. On the Home Screen, the widget's check button completes your task without opening the app.

How do I link Ett to the web?

Linking is optional. Sign in at ett.smond.studio with Apple or Google, open Settings and choose Link an iPhone to show a QR code. In the app, tap the screen, tap the gear and choose Scan Code. If you can't scan it, choose Copy link on the web, then Paste Link in the app.

A code works once and expires after five minutes. If yours has expired, show a new one on the web.

My task isn't updating

Open the app's Settings to see when it last synced, and check that the device is online. The app syncs when you open it and regularly while it's on screen. If the device was removed on the web, the link is gone and you'll need to link it again.

How do I connect an AI assistant?

Sign in on the web and open Settings. Under Connect an AI assistant, copy the address, add it as a custom connector in your assistant, then sign in and press Allow. Recent changes made by assistants are listed in the same place.

How do I unlink a device or delete my account?

To unlink, open Settings in the app and choose Unlink, or revoke the device under Devices in Settings on the web. To delete your account and its data, sign in on the web and choose Settings → Account → Delete account. You can also write to us and we'll do it for you. See the Privacy Policy for what's stored.
