Single Screen puts your active window into native fullscreen and dims every other display.
Getting started
1. Launch Single Screen — you'll see it in your menu bar (look for the fullscreen icon near the clock).
2. Grant Accessibility access when prompted. This is required for the fullscreen and dimming to work.
3. Press your shortcut (shown in the menu bar dropdown, and customizable in Preferences) to toggle fullscreen + dim.
Why does Single Screen need Accessibility access?
It uses the same underlying mechanism as macOS's own green fullscreen button. It doesn't read window content or keystrokes — see the Privacy Policy for details.
The shortcut doesn't do anything
Make sure Accessibility access is granted in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility, and that Single Screen is toggled on there. If you rebuilt the app from source, macOS may treat it as a new app and require re-granting.
Can I change the dim color or intensity?
Yes — open Preferences from the menu bar dropdown (⌘,).
How do I make it launch automatically?
Preferences → Launch at Login.
